How we report

We start with the thing itself: the device, the page, the campaign or the search result. Then we test it in ordinary conditions, on a normal budget and a normal connection. A claim only survives if it holds up after the novelty has worn off.

We separate what is measured from what is claimed. When a vendor reports a speed-up, we ask what it had to remove to get it. When a platform promises reach, we look at the baseline. That habit slows us down, and it is the reason our guides stay useful after the launch cycle moves on.

We cross-check technical claims against neutral references such as the web.dev performance guides and the Google Search documentation. We also confirm prices and support windows with the manufacturer or the official page. If a guide is out of date, tell us and we will correct it in public.

Every guide carries the month it was last checked. We list the tool, the version and the numbers we used. Software changes, prices move and search rules shift. So we revisit the most-read guides each quarter. Anything that no longer matches the record gets rewritten. If a feature is removed or a price is raised, we remove the old advice instead of patching it. The correction is noted at the foot of the page. That is slower than publishing once and leaving it. It keeps the archive honest.
